GCR Eurodraw: Tire Wire Technology, LLC and GCR Eurodraw S.p.A. Dissolve Long Term Contract About two years into a five year contract for technical support, Tire Wire Technology, LLC (TWT) and GCR Eurodraw, S.p.A. (GCR) dissolved their long term contract signed in January 2008. The split was another causality of the economic downturn and although both companies remain healthy and prosperous neither company realized a benefit from the relationship. The parties began discussing contract modifications in April 2010 without recognizing an agreeable solution. The talks concluded in contract dissolution in January 2011 with an effective date of April 2010. TWT supported GCR for technical and product development and participated in technical supervision services of manufacturing technology, assistance for start-up, commissioning and operation of plants, machinery and equipment for wire production. TWT services ranged from machine design to after-sale technological assistance to GCR’s customers. TWT continues to offer global technical support to wire manufacturers particularly for high technology products like saw wire, steel tire cord, music wire and related products. GCR globally supplies wire manufacturing equipment. |
