Tire Wire Technology, LLC and GCR Eurodraw S.p.A. Dissolve Long Term Contract About two years into a five year contract for technical support, Tire Wire Technology, LLC (TWT) and GCR Eurodraw, S.p.A. (GCR) dissolved their long term contract signed in January 2008. The split was another causality of the economic downturn and although both companies remain healthy and prosperous neither company realized a benefit from the relationship. The parties began discussing contract modifications in April 2010 without recognizing an agreeable solution. The talks concluded in contract dissolution in January 2011 with an effective date of April 2010. TWT supported GCR for technical and product development and participated in technical supervision services of manufacturing technology, assistance for start-up, commissioning and operation of plants, machinery and equipment for wire production. TWT services ranged from machine design to after-sale technological assistance to GCR’s customers. TWT continues to offer global technical support to wire manufacturers particularly for high technology products like saw wire, steel tire cord, music wire and related products. GCR globally supplies wire manufacturing equipment. 2. Saw Wire Manufacturing: Since 2006 TWT has been the only manufacturing consulting firm to offer technical support for the manufacture of saw wire for slicing photovoltaic, semiconductor and other crystals. TWT has been the lead manufacturing consultant in: (1) Asia for developing the saw wire manufacturing process in an existing steel tire cord plant, (2) Asia for an existing saw wire plant to upgrade their technology to manufacture product as small as 0.080 mm, (3) in Eastern Europe of a new state-of-the-art Greenfield saw wire plant, (4) an existing saw wire plant in Western Europe to improve the manufacturing process, (5) a Greenfield state-of-the-art saw wire manufacturing plant in Asia and, (6) a state-of-the-art saw wire manufacturing plant in the United States. Technical Partnership with Jigsaw Thermal Technology, LLC (JTT), the greenest manufacturer of strand heat treating technology, particularly for the manufacture of saw wire. JTT designs and manufactures heat treating equipment for strand annealing (patenting), diffusion and tempering operations using four proprietary and US Patent Pending Technologies. JTT engineers are equipment users and our equipment is manufactured by a sound block of private fabricators with more than 100 years experience. JTT’s corporate goal is to advance "Green" energy efficient heat treating technology for the manufacture of saw wire, steel tire cord, bead wire and other strand annealed products. 4. Liquid Quenchant Fluidized Bed Technology Development of Liquid Quenchant Fluidized Bed Technology (LQF) has continued at a dazzling pace. Four LQF units have been manufactured for saw wire and steel tire cord manufacturers. And LQF is the only option to other unwieldy liquid processes.
