The corporate goal of Tire Wire Technology, LLC is to advance technology for the manufacture of steel tire cord and bead wire. One activity to satisfy this goal is to develop new technology for the manufacture of steel tire cord and bead wire; we plan to submit one new patent application per year that addresses an issue common to several of our clients. 2006 - US patent application for the LQF process 2007 - PCT for the LQF Process 2007 - US patent application for a new drawing technology 2007 - US Patent Application & PCT for coating process resulting in patented wire free of scale & decarburization 2008 - Planning a US Patent Application & PCT for use of scrap steel tire cord filament 2008 - Planning a US Patent Application & PCT for air fluidized sand bed technology In January 2008, GCR Eurodraw S.p.A. and Tire Wire Technology, LLC signed a long term technical support contract. For the foreseeable future, TWT will support the GCR Eurodraw Team as the Technology & Product Development Team Leader. TWT will participate as GCR’s Technology Leader for technical supervision services of manufacturing technology, technological and technical assistance for start-up, commissioning and operation of plants, machinery and equipment for production of Steel Tire Cord & Bead Wire, Steel Hose & Music Wire and other steel wire products as requested by GCR Eurodraw. TWT services may also include technical lessons and training of personnel at GCR and/or on site, after-sale technological assistance to GCR’s customers as well as technical and technological assistance for offer preparation and during commercial negotiations. Development of Liquid Quenchant Fluidized Bed Technology (LQF) has continued at a dazzling pace. In 2008 we look forward to installation of as many as three LQF units! Tire Wire Technology, LLC, Thermcraft, Incorporated & RichardsApex Incorporated are working together to market the process.
Tire Wire Technology, LLC is a technology leader in the development of new techniques and processes for the manufacture of drawn steel products, particularly steel tire cord and bead wire. A goal of Tire Wire Technology is to produce one new process or technology per year to help advance technology, lower manufacturing costs, improve product quality and help develop higher strength products like Super, Ultra and Mega Tensile Steel Cords. TWT's clients consistently request assistance in developing manufacturing systems for higher strength steel tire cord product. TWT has been involved in industrial development of higher strength steels since 1989 - 19 years of experience including lead engineer on the first manufacturing team to commercially produce Super Tensile, Ultra Tensile & Mega Tensile cable.
